Competition Rules

1. Entries must be the original work of the entrant. The contest entry, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material created by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted contest entry is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the contest entry does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the contest entry.
2. Entries are to be 2D graphics (e.g., photographs, illustrations, charts, artwork, diagrams, etc.) with a title and a description that depict what Global Engineering means to the entrant. There is NO limit to the subject material of this entry, as there is NO limit to creativity. The contest entry must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of GlobalHUB, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.
3. Each entry must be uploaded through the GlobalHUB contest web page (http://globalhub.org/contest) in JPEG digital format along with its title and your interpretation/explanation of the item theme (maximum 250 characters).
4. Each entrant can submit a maximum of TWO independent entries, each consisting of only one contest entry. By submitting entries, entrants authorize the use and reproduction, without additional compensation, of his or her name and/or likeness and/or contest entry and/or municipality of residence by GlobalHUB for advertising and promotional purposes, in any manner and in any medium which GlobalHUB may deem appropriate (including, without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other print publications, on the Internet, and in video releases and slides). All entries that are used for such purposes will be fully credited to the entrant.
5. Entries will be judged by the GlobalHUB contest committee according to their (1) relevance to the theme, (2) artistic quality, (3) creativity, (4) originality, and (5) overall impact. The contest committee reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not conform to the stated contest rules. All decisions by the judges will be final and binding.
6. The contest is open to citizens of ALL countries including anyone currently registered as a member of GlobalHUB. NO PURCHASE OR MEMBERSHIP FEE NECCESARY.
7. Registration in GlobalHUB is required to participate in the contest.
8. GlobalHUB reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest at any time without prior notice. In such an event, all entries will be discarded.
9. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules.
10. THE CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Prizes

1^st place, 2^nd place, 3^rd place, and an indefinite number of honorable mention awards will be granted. The 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place winners will receive cash awards, contingent on completion of all required US tax procedures, of the following values respectively:

1^st Place: USD $500.00
2^nd Place: USD $300.00
3^rd Place: USD $200.00

Submission Deadline

All entries MUST be uploaded to the contest web page by November 1st^th, 2009. Each entry should be no larger than 10MB.

To be eligible, entries must be completed and received on or by the deadline date and time. GlobalHUB is not responsible for lost, misdirected or delayed entries. Entries received by fax, courier or personal delivery will not be accepted.
