Biography

I am a research associate professor with the Cyber Center in Discovery Park at Purdue University.

My research interests lie in the field of web services and databases and how they apply to enabling discovery and innovation in science and engineering. I am interested in service computing and engineering including efficient querying and composition of Web services, access control for web services and choreographies, using web services to build large scale cyber infrastructure for sciences and engineering. I am also interested in database integration, schema matching, database systems to support biological data in terms of annotations, provenance, and other key functionalities. I am also involved in several multidisciplinary projects for building systems to support experiments, data acquisition, and analysis workflows for high throughput omics Life Sciences, building integrated access to large set of data sources based on web services, and providing database support for the purpose of public health surveillance.
