GDT-Jordan 2011: Context-Sensitive Low-Cost Recycling and Waste Management
About the Group
This project will link Purdue University’s two flagship service-learning programs, Global Design Team and Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS). In partnership with Ruwwad, a not-for-profit organization in Amman which aims to provide rehabilitation programs to marginalized and under-privileged communities, Purdue and the University of Jordan will address one of the following: 1) a community fitness center in minimal space, 2) assistive technologies, 3) enquiry-based science explorations requiring minimal maintenance and operation expenses, or 4) innovative methods for recycling and environmental techniques.
