Interview with engineering student from Monterrey Tech (in Spanish)

Posted 30 Jul, 2008 in Publications

Contributor(s) Juan Lucena

Abstract

In this interview, an engineering student from Monterrey Tech, studying in the US for one year, describes her pathway into engineering, the tensions among family members from different schools, her experiences at the Tec, her perceptions on the differences between the Tec and other Mexican engineering schools and between the Tec and her host school in the US, and her career goals.

When reading this interview, reflect on similarities and differences between her experiences and yours. Since the Monterrey Tec is modelled after MIT in the US, her curricular experiences might be closer to those of US students than to those of her Mexican peers from other schools.
