| Bio | Nancy Clement received a BSâ??89 and MSâ??05 from Purdue Universityâ??s College of Technology. She is currently enrolled in an Executive Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies at IUPUI. Her research interest is in social entrepreneurship programs within academia. Specifically, how social and organizational change can be accomplished through leadership and entrepreneurship.
She is currently the Interim Director of the Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, mentoring student from 6th grade science classes to Graduate School on inventions, innovations and intellectual property protection. She facilitates two Idea to Product Competitions for Social Entrepreneurship â?? local (Purdue) and national. Her consulting company (I4SE)2 works to unite Initiatives for Social Entrepreneurship with Innovations for Social Enterprise. Nancy was the 2006 recipient of both the Fredrick L. Hovde and the Frank Murphy Outstanding Faculty Fellow Award. From 1990-93 Nancy introduced and coordinated the American Society for Qualityâ??s â??Koalaty Kidâ?? program at Linnwood Elementary School in Lafayette, IN. Prior to coming to Purdue, Nancy has been a sole proprietor and president of a â??Sâ?? corporation. She started her first business at the age of 22 and has been involved in business related activities ever since. Nancy was first called an â??Entrepreneurâ?? in 1983 when she was exploring opportunities in direct marketing (prior to the internet). |
