Abstract

This audio-text presentation is an introduction to global competency for aspiring global engineers. It provides an overview of engineering problem solving, a rationale for redefining engineering, and proposes an approach to help aspiring global engineers position themselves as leaders in problem definition and solution (PDS). This presentation is meant to encourage GlobalHUB users to view the Engineering Cultures videos with the purpose of integrating the content of these videos in PDS.

Credits This presentation has been inspired by the work that Prof. Gary Downey and I have done together in the development of the Engineering Cultures course since 1996.
