| Abstract | Engineering Cultures® China consists of multimedia modules that examine the historical development and contemporary state of engineering education and the engineering profession in mainland China. The content builds on the Engineering Cultures instructional model, originally developed by Profs. Gary Downey (Virginia Tech) and Juan Lucena (Colorado School of Mines). These modules can help you take the first step toward enhancing your ability to practice effectively as a global engineering professional, in China and beyond. Select Course Content
Version Statement The modules shown here are representative samples from a complete orientation course developed for the International Research and Education in Engineering (IREE) 2010 program, administered by Purdue University and supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF Grant No. EEC-0965733). Since the development of this content is ongoing, the modules should be viewed as draft versions. All inquiries, including feedback about these modules or questions about other Engineering Cultures China content, should be directed to Prof. Brent K. Jesiek, Purdue University (bjesiek@purdue.edu). |
